Arturo Profili, secretary of the Second São Paulo Biennial, sends confirmation to Alfred H. Barr Jr., director of the Collections Department at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, that he has received his letter and thanks him for his collaboration in the project. He informs him that the Biennial must authorise the cost, given that it cannot miss the chance to display Guernica, particularly as Pablo Picasso is keen for the show to be a major event.
