Arturo Profili, secretary of the Second São Paulo Biennial, writes to René d'Harnoncourt to find out if MoMA, New York, agrees with the loan of Guernica, given that the painter has given his consent. Pablo Picasso’s idea is for Guernica to be the centrepiece of the exhibition.
