Donald M. Halley Jr, director of the Hudson River Museum, writes to Nelson Rockefeller to express his surprise and disappointment over refusal to loan works for the opening of the museum. He also mentions the importance of his collection. He assumes that it must be down to the impression of scant professionalism and provincialism.
