Artist, activist and conscientious objector Jon Hendricks was one of the founding members of the Guerrilla Art Action Group (GAAG) and facilitated the radical exhibitions and performances in the Judson Memorial Church gallery in New York, in 1967 and 1968. He was also responsible for the exhibition People’s Flag Show held in the church in November 1970, and, with Irving Petlin and Fraser Dougherty, played a vital role in producing and disseminating the Art Workers’ Coalition’s (AWC) poster Q. And babies? A. And babies. (1969).
