Happy Guernica

Sebastián Hernández Díaz (Murcia, 1990) is a graffiti artist, known in the urban art sphere as Sbah, who has worked on different projects internationally. In May 2024, one of his murals was considered the world’s best mural.  

This mural, a reinterpretation of Guernica, is located in the Jara Carrillo Primary School, in the town of Alcantarilla (Murcia). To create the work, Sbah took inspiration from the pupils’ drawings as part of a school initiative in 2023 centred on the work of Pablo Picasso, giving rise to this Guernica Feliz (Happy Guernica), a piece in which the artist sustains his interest in art as a tool for social transformation.
