Carlos Robles Piquer, secretary of state for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informs Javier Tusell, director-general of Fine Arts, he has sent a telegram to the diplomat Rafael Fernández Quintanilla regarding the negotiations for Guernica.The Museum of Modern Art, New York, acknowledges a letter from Picasso dated 14 November 1970 regarding the ownership and destination of the painting.
