An anthology of catalogue texts and articles, which takes a critique-based approach to the figure of Pablo Picasso, published in two volumes. The first focuses on Guernica (1937), offering the keys to understanding how, from the time it was unveiled at the Paris Exposition of Art and Technology in Modern Life (1937) to the symposium on the painting organised by MoMA in 1947, its myth was forged to become the most important painting of the 20th century, Picasso's masterpiece, and an icon of world pacifism.
