Modern Life. The New Yorker cover that pays hommage to MoMA

Modern Life is a work produced for The New Yorker magazine. The story it describes represents the pleasure of visiting the Museum of Modern Art in New York. García uses Piet Mondrian's painting Broadway Boogie Woogie (1942-43) as a narrative base and visual metaphor, as if it were the building. Selected works appear in the interior spaces of the piece, from Picasso to Ringgold passing through Basquiat or Kusama. The idea is not only to represent MoMa but also to represent it as it is today, with a discourse that broadens the classical exhibition vision dealing with gender issues, minorities and aspects of contemporary society.
