Antonio Rodríguez Morey's, Manuel Azaña's and Jesús Hernández Tomás's letter to Pablo Picasso
Antonio Rodríguez Morey, the under-secretary of Public Instruction and Fine Arts, sends Pablo Picasso a copy of the Decree naming his appointment as director of the Museo del Prado. He also invites him to spend a few days in Spain to personally check the government of the Republic's work in defense of Spain’s national artistic heritage. It should be noted that the painter accepted the appointment but would never travel to Spain to occupy the position officially.
