Blanche Mahler's letter to Alfred H. Barr Jr.
Blanche Mahler, from the Campaign Department of the Spanish Refugee Relief Campaign (an aid and fund-raising association for Spanish exiles), thanks Alfred H. Barr Jr., director of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, for loaning out the museum’s auditorium. She also takes the opportunity to congratulate him on the museum’s new building and asks him to confirm that he will bear the delivery, packing and insurance expenses for Guernica and its related works — the invoices of which are enclosed — as well as the costs involved in delivering the works to Paris once the exhibition is over.
